Always - For Joyce in Manitoba

Good evening stampers!
Hope you are all keeping dry during this very interesting duck weather we are currently experiencing.  It gives us creative individuals the perfect excuse to stay dry indoors and have some creative fun.

My friend Joyce is in Manitoba and celebrated her son's wedding today, and I wanted to share a wedding style card with you for that reason.  I CASED the idea of this card from the Splitcoast Stampers site here.  Thank you Doodledop! And thank you, Susan, for having this stamp set in your collection!

Both hearts were stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder. On the the "female" heart I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter and three small pearls!  On the "male" heart I added a bit of 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Early Expresso!

Happy joyful stampin' hugs to you all!
Bruni :)

Masterboard Fun

Hello Stampers!

This past weekend I continued playing with the Greenhouse Garden stamp set. I really do love this set!  I varied the color pallette and created a masterboard (completely covered a sheet of cardstock) - and then cut it up and created my card.

Here is my completed masterboard.
This was fun!

And here is....
... my completed card!
I applied Dazzling Diamonds with 2-way glue to the centres of the flowers and
also the centres of the embossed background along
the right hand side.

Enjoy your week, everyone.
Joyful smiles and hugs
Bruni

Tuija's Birthday Card

Happy Birthday Tuija!
I was inspired to create this birthday card from Barb's make-n-take last month (see earlier post).  Do any of you recognize some of the features? I really love the two-step stamping technique which was incorporated into the design panel.

Enjoy your day, Tuija!

Joyful stampin hugs to you all.

Dream Gardens Delight for Rhondda

Evening Stampers!

This card's for you, Rhondda!

I had the chance to play last night and I came up with this card for my friend, Rhondda, who got this stamp set (Dream Gardens) last Spring as her hostess set.  She loves everything oriental/asian.

Lucky for us, Stampin Up! has it in their 2010/2011 catalogue (page 113).  I got to play with Rhondda one day earlier this summer and had used various Stampin' UP! markers to color the stamp image and the stamped it onto Whisper White CS (one itty-bitty problem - I have forgotten what colors I used).

Anyways, this image sat in my stash and I was inspired to play with it when I cut some of the new Concord Crush CS.  What a lovely rich purple (used as the card base).  I matted Rich Razzleberry CS that I had first texturized with the Perfect Details plate (page 215, 115962).  The Marina Mist CS mats the image.  I punched some flowers using the Itty Bitty Shapes punch (page 201) in Rich Razzleberry, shaped the petals using my Mat Pak (page 198), and glued along the bottom of the card.  The centers were colored in with the lovely White Signo Gel Pen (page 195).

May the joys of stamping give you all a summer lift!

Joyful stampin hugs to you,

Bruni :)

Vanisle Weekend Fun

Hello stamping enthusiasts!

Welcome to my very first posting of my very own Blog!  I am thrilled to actually have my own Blog on the web!

Thank you Leslie and Barb! I am working at getting my very first blog up and running. So this is my first posting!  Thank you Mom, for creating my watermarks! I would never have figured it out without all your help and encouragement.  I will continue to tweek my blog as I go along, so visit back often.

Everyone who attended Barb's inaugural August long weekend get together for Stampin Up Demo's on Vancouver Island had a super fun creative time.

I have uploaded (again my first time) the cards we did for our swap and a couple from our make and takes.   Some of the gals were lucky to attend Convention 2010 and brought back oodles of ideas.  I love them all!
Take a look at what we did:

This is Susan's swap card.

Even Mom got into the fun and
made her version. Love it Mom!
