July 2020 Seashore Stampers' Blog Hop - Theme: Wedding - Heart to Heart

Happy hello and welcome to the Seashore Stampers' July 2020 Blog hop!

This month's theme is "Wedding" and we have some really gorgeous eye-candy for you to view. Please enjoy!
Card front

For my wedding themed card, I borrowed a really neat idea from Erica who showed the Seashore Stampers' this really cool technique enabling you to use up 1/2" scraps!

Ready to try the idea yourself?  Goodie! Let's dive right in!

You will need Whisper White Thick cardstock for your base and also for your 1/2" strips.
Cut card elements (and embossed strips)

Then introduce one ink color that brings joy to your heart (at this moment) or one that being used in your friend's wedding theme!
Stamped and cut elements

In this case I used Merry Merlot (a color one of my friends happens to have in her wedding theme) and one stamp set (the one used here is called "Heart to Heart" from Stampin' Up!).  Also used is the embossing folder called Old World Paper.

Check what you have in your stash and gather your supplies.

Now, you can also change the theme of the card by changing out the color of cardstock and even the greeting.  Here is another idea for your creative mojo:

Sea Shore Stampers Blog Hop - Theme - Wedding

Hello fellow stampers - thank you stopping by this summer day!  I hope the summer is treating you well  and that you are in a creative mood!

This time of year, weddings and celebrations are too numerous to count.  Enjoy the hop and find some stamping/crafting inspiration here (especially if you need a wedding card!).

I CASED a wedding card design I found online (will post link here once I find it) because this card is perfect for a friend of mine.  I also used this card for my swap with my group this month - bonus!

For my card, I used Very Vanilla cardstock for my base and I used my friend's favorite color, purple, as my accent.  You can most certainly change it up to match the color theme you need. I also used the Shimmery White cardstock for the greeting.  I took some progress photos so you can see the process to recreate this card.

The embossed mat and the cut circle greeting

The full unaltered diecut on the left and the modified diecut on the right - you
will notice I cut one of the swirly leaves off so the diecut didn't cover the greeting.

Okay, that's it for me.  Enjoy your time hopping through this celebratory blog hop:

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
Tips and Tricks to recreate this card:
Cut:  Very Vanilla cardstock:  11" x 4 1/4" for base and 5 1/4" x 4" mat
one strip of Shimmery White for stamping and punching out a 2 1/4" circle
Next:
1.  Emboss your very vanilla white with the Softly Falling embossing folder (or folder of your choice).
2.  Punch out circle using your 2 1/4" punch.
3.  Glue mat to card base.
4.  Ink up your greeting with VersaMark ink and then with Gorgeous Grape ink.  Stamp onto Shimmery White cardstock and then cover with clear embossing powder.  Heat set.
5.  Glue your circle into the punched out mat (see photos above).
6.  Die cut your flourish from Very Vanilla and then carefully cut away the one leaf as shown in photo.
7.  Glue to card front as shown (but leave the base stem free of glue as you will tie the ribbon to this spot.
8.  Using some sewing thread right from the spool, knot the lace trim where you like and then, while thread is still attached to ribbon and spool, tie onto stems with another knot.
9.  Now glue a large basic pearl over the knotted ribbon.
10.  Now you get to apply basic pearls wherever you like (see photos where I placed mine)  I believe they add just that bit of luxuriousness!
11.  You are now ready to decorate your envelope and give your card to the lucky couple!
Whoo-hoo!

June Blog Hop - Wedding Card - Lacey Floral Phrases

Hello, and welcome to the Seashore Stampers' Blog Hop for June.  Our theme this month is "wedding" and were all busily creating something wonderful.  I hope you enjoy the hop as you visit all of our blogs and maybe you too find some inspiration.

I made this card keeping in mind the bride and groom's color scheme: Coral, navy and off white.  You can easily change up the colors to match the wedding colors of your intended recipients.

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:

Tips and Tricks to recreate this card:
Cut:
Shimmery White Cardstock for lacey die cut: 11" x 4 1/4"
Calypso Coral Cardstock for inside of card: 5 1/4" x 4"
Very Vanilla cardstock mat: 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Scrap of Calypso Coral cardstock for punching the Pretty Label (x2)
Scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock for punching 1 1/4" circle
Next:
1. Score Shimmery White Cardstock at 3 1/2" along the long side at one end and then 2" at the other end.
2. Using your Detaild Floral Thinlits, die cut the pieces as shown in photo.
3.  Score the die cut card base.
4. Fold the Calypso Coral cardstock in half and glue to back inside of Shimmery White die cut card base.
5.  Stamp images from the Floral Phrases stamp set using Calpyso Coral ink and then glue to inside of the Calypso Coral card base.
6.  Punch out two pieces of the Pretty Label punch from Calypso Coral cardstock.
7.  Stamp wedding greeting with Calypso Coral Ink onto Very Vanilla scrap and then punch out with your 1 1/4" punch.
8. Place one Pretty Label punched piece over closed opening of the card and wrap a length of the 1/8" Gold ribbon from back to front overlapping ribbon at the center of the punched shape.  I used Fast Fuse to hold the ribbon in place (make sure to give the ribbon enough ease to be easily removed from the card so it opens but not so loose that the label doesn't hold the card closed.
9.  Glue the second Pretty Label punched shape over the first label shape, which now covers the ribbon ends.
10.  Glue your inked 1 1/4" punched circle to the center of the Pretty Label shape.
11.  Make a double bowed ribbon detail using a fork and glue your bow to the top of the greeting.
12. Attach Pearl Basic Jewels and the Gold Faceted Gems to the card as shown in photos.
Now you are ready to give this card to the bride and groom on their wedding day! Cheers!
